rai Fun association. Mahtom, June 9. At the anntal meeting of the Licensing Committee on Saturday an application was made for a new licmse at Rongotea. Several petitions, numerously signed, were set aside owing to their not having been lodged in compliance with the Act. At the annual meeting of the Licensing Bench v-try searching reports were submitted by the police. The chairman (Mr Grah-im, S.M.) said the committee intended to draw attention to any dilapidations, e'c., complained of, and prop sed in all cites where th« trouble wag of sufficient importincn to merely grant a license for three months, which metes tbat unle»s ma'ters are put right by then the license would lapse. Licenses were gran'ed for only three mon'hsto the Aus'rhsi <n, Gridiron, Duke of Eiinburgh, Farmers' Arms, Prince of Wale-', and O'ago Hotels.
