WELLINGTON v. NEW PLYMOUTH. Tiiere was pp'erdid weather for the above mitch, which was pliyed on Monday afternoon on the racecourse A fair number of entkusiasfs, including several ladies', wra pres-nt and exhibitsd considerable interest in the game. The visitors evidently found the ground somewhat: rough at first, but soon became used to i", and kept the home team, who had at fir.t assumed an aggressive attitude, well in their own territory. After soma good play on both sides Wellington again invaded the New Plymouth end, and H, J. Oooka succeeded in registering u goal. The spell ended without further score.
