BELL BLOCK.

A ybry pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Luke's, Church of England, on Wednf sday, when Miss Martha Hoskin entered into the state of holy matrimony with Mr Theodore Boldt. The Rev. F. A. Bennett officiited. The meinbcTs of the choir (of which Mi.~s Hoskin was a uitmbur) had the ohurch prettily decorated wirh white flowers. Many friends and will-wishers of the bride were present.

On Tuesday evening the Sunday School children and many friends met in the' hall <o have n. "Children's evening." The Revs. F. G. Evans and F. A. Bennett gave short addresses. Mr Bennett kindly brought his lsiTstern and showed some very beautiful slides of the " Life of Christ." Hymns, thrown oa the sheet, were sung very nicely by the children. Children's games were thoroughly enjoyed, also ping-pong for the elders. Tha parents provided a large quan'i'y \of provisions. There wore four " chuff tubs," au i each child in tha hall got a present 'oaf.ire leaving. A collection was taken up towards the schojl expenses. Yery hearty cheers were by those present, and a vote of thanks to -vJr Bennett, se-i., and the other friends who had helped 10 mako tho gathering a. success. The chii;f subject of conversation here is the coining concert on the 27th irist. Gtod as past concerts ut Bell Block have been, it is confidently asserted that this one is to surpiss them all. All arrangements are completed, i-vrn to interviewing Captain Edwin and the dark of th j weather.
