PRIMITIVE METHODIST CHURCH.

J Tut 8uooM«ful meetings in connection irith tlx Bunday School of the above ■church have taken place during thin week. On Sunday special services •were held, the preacher being tbe Rev. Wooloxall, there bung large congregations present. On Thunday evening a tea and public meeting was held. 'The church was very nicely decorated, ] 1 the tea being provided by the ladies of •the congregation, tho tables being pre-! *ided «ver by Mrsdames Nixon, C. Bellringer, Moon, F. Bellringer, Ph> ty, IPerey Bellringer, and tbe Miiwe* Hicholl, Nixon, and Moon. In «h Evening a public meeting was held in the church, presided over by Mr O. Bellringer, superintendent of th • Sunday School, who gave an adminble address on tbe Bible in schools, seating MS conviction that education which did not provide for the moral training of the young was defective. During the evening salable hymns were sung by the children, led by Mr Leece. Soles were given by Mrs and Miss Nixon, and a recitation by Mr Buttimore. The prizes were presented to the children by tbe chairm-m. At the close the Be* J. Nixon gave a short, earnest , address, in thi course of which he expressed his thankfu'ness fo, th* progress male, and moved very cordial votes of thanks to those assisting at the tea, the Sunday School teachers, and to Mr Hooker, the indefatigable secretary and treasurer, which were curried amidst applause.

During the week a presentation was made by tbe Rev. Nixon,on behalf of the choir, to Miss Moon, one of Ut> members, who was married at tbe church on Wednesday to Mr Moore, of Feildiog. The presentation consisted of a photo of tbe members of the choir. On tbe Wednesday, also, tbe choir decorated the church very beautifully with flowers, etc., ia hsneur of the bride.
