OBITUARY.

PES PRESS ASSOCIATION. Palhesstox Nokth, May 22. George Rov, one cf the oldest aettlers in this district, died this morning ; aged 66. Mr Rjo anived in Wellington in 1841, and has bad an adventurous life, serving throughout the Maori war. He came to this district 30 years ago, and one of his first contracts wan the erection if 40 htuj.s for the immigrants brought out by the Manchester Block Corporation.
