PER PBESS ASSOCIATION. Wistport, May 21. The following cable has been received by Sir Joseph Ward from'Mr Seddon dated Johannesburg 20th:— "Received a hearty welcome and address from the South African League and Council. Lord Milner gave a lunch to-day. Shall proceed to Klerksdorp to morrow to see the Eighth Contingent and from thence to Pretoria on Thursday. The Boer delegates are there, including De Wet, Del»ray, Smuts and Botha, Will Bee the Nitith at Vereeniging. Gave a s-nd-off to the Seventh at Newcastle jib enJay. On the 21st, 370 men and 11 officers, with Major Johnson commanding, will leave Durban in the troopship Manila. There was great cheerirg."
