■ > AUSTRALIAN CONCERT TO LONDON POOR. HI MESS AISMIATIOK. London, May 19. Mia Ada Crossley gives a concert, wholly by Australian artists, to the London poor on the day after the King's dinner. Mr Barton has been asked to pmide.

The Wellington celebrations committee has decided to ask the City Council for assistance to the extent of £SOO. Nelson and Timaru committees are asking for £2OO each. The local Fire Brigade has decided to hold a torchlight procession on .the aight of Coronation Day. Details will he arranged by the committee during the coining month. A reainder is given to citizens of the public meeting called by the Mayor for this evening to consider a general programme for Coronation Day.
