H.M.S Phoebe is on her first visit to New Zealand waters, she havmr only recently, frarsfeired to the Australasian station from tho Pouth African station. The Phoebe is one of the sane c'a«s of steel! cruisers as the Ringarooma and Vildura. She was >-uilt at Derorport in 1890, at a cost of £161,114. Her complement consists of SJ7 officer* and men.
