At a meeting of th » Rugby Union Committee it was decided to instruct the Otigo delegates to move the following amendment to a motion on the' order papor of the Ne v Zealand Union ' for th« speuiiil me ting: " That the English Union be informed that ';hei N.Z.R.U. is desirous of sending a represent if,ivo football team to Gr*at Britain,, hut that it will be impos«ihle to geti players to make the :our unl ss their dependents are providtd for during their absence, which cin only be done by public subscription ; that the English Union beaeked if it on mike any suggestion as to how tlrs difficulty can be overcome, so as to avoid conflict wi'h the lulesasto profesaiomlism," It was decided to inform the Wairarapi Union that it« request to play a match against Wairarapa could not be cimplied with this year. Mr F. H. Campbell resigned his position as secretary, and Mr Smith was appointed in his stead.

Weston towards the club's funds. i A meeting of the the Ueferees' Association was held in the Council Chambers on Tuesday evening. Present : Messrs G. Syme (chairman), F. Spurdle, G. Hopkins, and F. 841ringer. After an exhaustive examination Mr T. Petty wss ndmitted to mr-mber-ship, and Messrs Proctor and G. iffiths will come up for a further examination on the 22nd ins'ant.

Fir*t Juniors : Stratford v. at (Stratfor.l, Mr Spurdle; Stir v. Inglewvod, at liiglewnod, Mr Patty. Second Juniors: Stratford v. Inglewood, at Inglewood, Mr Petty. Complete fixtures will be arranged on the 22nd. In the meantime any two clubs mutually agreeing to a referee for a match are to communicate with tha secretary of the association (Mr F. T. Bellringer), and if possible tbe appointment for the day will be made accordingly.
