At Messrs Cooper and McDermott's kinematograph exhibition on Tuesday | eight there was a much betttr house than on Monday night, and we shall bp very much mistaken if the hall is not packed this evening, as the ■how in one of the best ever seeu in New Plymouth. The programme was very similar to that given on the previous ev«ning, of which wo gava a full description. We need only siy then thai the large audience last evening were highly satisfied, mnny of the items being loudly encored ; the length of the programme, however, precluded the request being acceded to. The subjects choser, are excellent and varied, whilr the views are exceptionally good and e'ear, the living pic'ures being much more steady than is usually the case, some of th-m being so life-like that it is hard to bolieve they are the production of a lantern. They bring facts and places home to tho spectitor m a very realistic m inner. The graphophone is an extremely gond one, and in m»iiy passages {lives an admirable reproduc tion of the human voice, whilst its reproduction of instrumental music if (■imply pet f et; in both enses there is an absence of that brassy soaod so common with these instruments. While several of the mosl popukr items will ba repeated thie evening r. number of new items will be given, and as this is the last night of the ssasoo our readers should make every effort to be present.
