KINEMATOGRAPH EXHIBITION.

Thb exhibition givqa by Messrs Copper and McDarmott at the Whiialey Hall on Mondiy night was in every way up to the high reputation which they hive justly earned, Th» liviDg pictures were net ouly of a popular type, but exceptionally clear, giving a realistic repre<entatiou of many interesting evente, as well as several intensely diverting and marve Uouß scenes. The first pwt of tha programme was devoted to "Our Boys" at the front, every item being loudly cheered. Thire was also a very fine reproduction of the fuueti m at which the King presented medals te his South African heroes. Amoagst other excellent pictures were the accident- to the Shamrock, the earth as seen from a travelling balloon, and the magic sword, the last-named presenting a series of transformation sceneß of exquisite beauty. The second part opened with a series of: representations connected with the Royal visit, including the poi dance by the natives and the memorable scene at Rotorua, whijh was remarkable for its vividness and the spaces covered by the pictures. The scene at the geyser was also v»ry real, and gave one a thorough idea of what the original was like. Amongst the magic items were " the wrestlers," whose feats must be' seen to be realised, and the disappear- 1 ing lady, the finale of the former fairly electrifying the audiance. " Krug> r's Dream " was the concluding item, and the discomfi ure of the fallen ex-prtsi-dent was keenly appreciated by all present. A powerful gra phophone gave, great assist mce to the enjoyment ofj the audience, and the descriptive matter [ was skilfully handled. There will be a j change af programme this evening, and | there should be a very large attendance. It is unfortunate for the exhibitors that the theatre is not available, as on their last performances there they secured packed houses ; but j the Whitely Hall is well adapted for the purpose, and from any part of the | building one can obtain a good view of i what is on the screen.
