Since the inception of the Bisley rifle team movement, friction his existed between the New South Waifs Rifle Association and fchp Commonwealth. The council of the Rifl-J Association's headquarters is »t Melbourne, and the New South Wa'ei Association is d at the distribution of voting power for the election of a manager. Victoria, South Australia, WestrulK and Tasmania, having seven m<>u in the team, and contributing .£IOOO, aro alleged to have controlled nine votes ; while New South Walas and Queensland, with five men and contributing £\ 100 controlled only four votes. Msjar-Genei'al Hutton wired yesterday the *eam selected, and asked New South Wales to make a nomination for a manager, who is to be appointed upon the votes of the Council. As the appointment of the Coui3cil'« nomiree wssoonsidered certain, the N.S. Associat'on rpsolved owing to the dissatisfaction at the way i*s riflemen had been treated, to decline to contribute! any funds to the expenses of the team.
