Plagued rats continue to be found in many parts of the city and suburbs. The weather has moderated a little, but there is still a boisterous rough sea, aod the shipping is sheltering. A conference of pastoralists and Machine Shearers Shed Employer's Union, recently founded in opposition to the Australian Workers Union, is fitting with a view to arranging wha' is termed a lasting settlement.
