TE HENUI ANNIVERSARY SOCIAL.

The annivoisary social in connection with the Heaui Sunday School was held in tho Parish Rail, adj icsnt to the church, on Thursday evening, the Rev. P. G. Evans presiding. Toe building was crowded, many present having gon* out from town. An excellent programme had been arranged and wi» executed in a most pleasing uaannar. In addition to the items advertisnd, Mies Nixon contributed a very pratty ,song. Both the chairman and Mr Skinner gave a short and appropriate address, feeling reference beiug made of tho untiricg services in Sunday School work renderad by the late Mrs Bosworth, and carried on wi'h such marked ability and success by Mis-] Bosworth, the present superintendent of tbe school. During ih« interval light refreshments, of which there was abundance, were banded around and greatly appweiattd by these present. I The hall was prettily decorated for the occasion by the Indies of the district, who also provided t'ae refreshments, and are entitled to the warmest praise for the excellent manner in which the social was organised and carried to such a successful issue. The usual voio of thanke, followed by the National Anthun brought a very pleasant evening to a close,
