This finnl motoh Battalion v. Rifles took place at H*w«ra on TuumJay, resulting in a win for tha latter by 49 points. The conditions were rather poor for good shooting, the wind being fresh »nd varhble, and the light changeable, while th« targets were voted horrors. The visitors were entertained by Lieutenant Paterson (Hawera Rifles) with lunch at th« range, aid subsequently banquette 1 at the Egmoct Hotel.
