Wake* Kawbia; section 4, Ouailes Fitch, Filthim ; block 10, suction 3, H. Eleauiect, Whetukuia; section 4, L. Armitage, Kawhh. Before the dispersal of the applii cants Mr W. W. McOardle referred to

Hd moved: (1) That the atten-; tion of the Government be called to the number of unsuccessful applicants at the ballot; (2) that they be u>'ged to place the remainder of the Kawhia lands on the market as soon as possible ; aud (3) that Mr Mueller be requested to convey tho resolution to the Government."

Mr Fairfax seconded, and tho motions were unanimously carried. Mr Mueller siid he, would have greit pleasuie in complying with the | request. He was most anxions to see tha l.nds settled. He had five surveyor* at; present at work on them, but they were liable to be recalled at any nuiuen*; bir h ■ -hought such a resolution which hud been carried ho unanimously would have great weight with the Government.
