The Takapuna '■ arrived soon afttrr 7 a m., and the mail train was delayed from 7.25 to 7.50, ■' and had t.> sart without r,he maik ; j8.20, still the Hawera, Wanganui, a j and Pahneraton mails were not fVuth- . ' coming, and were not sent on till the " 4.25 p.oj. train. The Wellington and I Southern m;>-ils were s- nt oh hy thn , Taka/puna, as they did not leave •fcill after 10 a.m., they would hardly I re.'Uih Wellington in tim* for do'ivery 1 on Wednesday night. We undest&nd J an inquiry is to be held into the cause , of the delay.
