Hie landed the New Plymonth to Palmer •ton mai's, transhipped the { Greymouth-Westport mails to the Moa, and took the Wellington and South Island mails on to Wellington, leaving after taking in a quantity of butter and cheese, shortly after 10 a.m. •<* The Moa landed 107 tons of coal at the Breakwater on Wednesday,*ad left for Westport in the afternoon, the took the West Coast portion of the English mail, which will thus be delive:ed fully a day earlier than, usual. The Mana left Waitara far Fatea on the sth inst., and having failed in two attempts to get into Patea, ran back on Honda* night to the Sugarloaves for shelter. The Mana is a saiart little craft of 77 tons, commanded by Okpt Westntp, and is fitted no with a refrigerator for the Patea butter trade. She came alongside the Breakwater on Wednesday for water and provisions, and as the Takapnna was anxious to get away with the mails, she took in between 20 and 30 tons of cheese and left soon after the Takapnna to catch the direct steamer at Wellington, leaving for Lra ion on Thursday.
