ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
♦ PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Eltham, April 8. "Walter Horeup, five-year-old son of Mr Fred Rorsup, died at 5.30 this morning. The child fell into a mass of bnrning refuse at a seed clewing establishment vm the 31st ult. and waß severely .burnt about the eyes Aims. Waroasiti, April 8 A man named T. Whall had a remarkable escape from drowning | as t nighti He w«a working on a small oil launch, and at 11.30, the night being pitch dark, he was goir-g aboard when he slipped on the ladder rnd fell into the river, striking the side of his face against the side of the launch. He loet consciousness till three o'clock when he found himself up to his neck in water. It is feared that serious injury has been done to his eye, and he has been taken to the hospital. Chmstcbtokch, April 8. At the inquest on Harry Feast, who died through injuries sustained in falling off the Sumuer tram, a verdict wis returned of " accidental death."
