THE VALOARES.

The reputation which preceded the talented Valdares Company attracted a very large crowd to the Theatre Royal on Monday night, and it was evident those present were thoroughly astonished and pleased with the wonderful entertainment provided. Zamoni's sleight-of-hand and feats in magic were marvellously well executed and created the greatest wonder and amusement, especially in connection with the endless variety of articles which were produced from a borrowed hat. He is decidedly a highly finished artist, and all his tricks are of the popular type, particularly when offering different wines to the audience out of the same bottle. His ventriloquism was one of the most amusing and clever performances of the evening, and caught on immensely. The balancing powers of Mons. Arlo are of a very expert order, and all were executed with exceptional accuracy and confidence. I It was, however, the marvellous feats | performed on bicycles that was the feature of the entertainment. It is impossible to describe the grace, the faring and the cleverneEs exhibited by this accomplished trio. The performance must be seen to be realised, especially the finale, when two of the company negotiate a separate single wheel each. Nuedless to say the spectutors were roused to a high pitch of enthusiasm. A very good wire walking performance was given by the Sisters Val, some difficult feats being executed though not always at the first attempt. Great amusement was provoked by Mr, Tom Powers in his burlesque cycling, whichproducedioarsof laughter. Messrs Hartford and Shepherd contributed vocal and amusing items, the former being very droll. Miss Galardi also gave some vocal items and step dancing, and the entertainment concluded with a humorous sketch entitled " Ghost in a Pawn Shop." TO-NIGHT the lost performance of the season will be given and a change of programme has been provided. With such a strong compnny it is certain that a most enjoyable entertainment will be given. Those who have not witnessed this unique performance shou'd tot miss the opportunity this evening.
