OBITUARY.

It is ngain our sad dut.y to chronicle the demise of another old Taranaki resident, in the person of Mrs Elizabeth Low, who died on Friday at tbe residence of her soc-ic-law, Mr 0. F. Low, Com tenay-street, ageii 76 yen's. The dece&sed lady had been in failing health for some time, but the end came rather suddotily at the last. She was soon during tho morning by her medical attendant', aud was thrn in her usual stata of health. Shortly after midday, however, a chaugj took place, and before a doistor could be summoned Mrs Low had passed away. Deceased arrived in 1842 with her parents, Mr and Mrs J. Smart, who came out with the Devonshire immigrants, amot.g whom was Major Pan is, who aftexwaids married her sister. .She has remained in Taranaki ever sitjee, and married the late Dr. Roger Sheriff Low, and leaves a family of three daughters and a sou, Mrs C. Curtis (Stratford), Mrs F. Dixon (Stratford), Mrs C. F. Orawfoid (New Plymouth), and Mr E. U. Lowe (New Plymouth). The late Mrs Low was for many years a regular attendant {it St. Mary's, until increasing infirmity overtook her, She was held in high esteem among a large circle of friends, whose sympathy will be extended to the sorrowing relatives.
