This book is a sort of a guide to the " Encyclop«dia," so that the student desiring to work up any particular subject, say astronomy, or folklore, or law, has in part 1., a course of reading mapped out for him i» the " Encyclopedia " that will cover every branch of the study. Ia part 11., the buay man is helped to pick out from the " Encyclopaedia " the kind of information most useful to him in his calling. In part 111., a course of light and improving reading for young people is prescribed, Jand Part IV.. deals with games, sports, and pastimes.
