* DISASTER IN AMERICA, PER PBKSS ASSOCIATION. New York, March 31, A disisterous flood has occurred in Tennessee. Twenty-two parsons were killed. The damage is 4,000,000d015. A wind storm at Knoxville, Peonsylvannu, unroofed a churcb, which fell, and forty-five people injured are not expected to recover. A church at Grenvillo collapsed, and the pastor was fatally and maoy worshippers eerioaily injured. HBAVT RAINFALL IN VIOTOBIA. Melbourne, March 31. There are floods in many districts, In some places there has been over seven inches of rain. A buggy load of men, while attempting to cross a flooded ' creek, v. ere, cariied away. One man named McGregor was drowned; the others had a narrow escape. The steamer Gabo is aground in • Hopetoun Channel, and attempts to float hr have, so far, been futile. ) April 1.
