Eighty-five men are in the mounted camp under Majnr Dunk and Lieutenant Davis. The Inspector and Major-General Babington arrived at noon and held an inspection in the afternoon. He put the men through a course of work calculated to test their, individual knowledge of drill, and in a ' subsequent address he stated ho had not come to find fault but to help th« meo to the best ef his ability. He deprecated a too close adhesion to book drill, hut preferred officers and men should, as fu- as possible, ack seceding to common sense.
