THB ROSE OF PERSIA. There was again a full house at th ' heatre Royal on Wednesday nigh* f e dross circle and the stalla be<n I i tieular'y well filled, to witness th final performance by this popular com pany. The piece staged was "Tb Rose of Persia," the wealth ef Bettin exceeding the most sa»cuico expecta tioßs. Famed as the Pollaids are fe ricb "iess of dressing and scenic effect) last night's production has never bee excelled and rarely equalled. Th opera naturally lends itself to orients display and magnificent dressing, an Mr Pollard cortaioty took advantage c the occasion to the fullest possibl extent. The music also was extremal pretty and goad. While there was superabundance of sentiment, some c the situations were extremely funnj The cast is a strong one, all tha part being well taken, and the principal being very good indeed. Most of tla fun was caused by Mr W. S. Perc (Hassan)and MissN. Wilson (Dancin Sunbeam.) They contrived to keo the laughter rippling from start t finish. Mr D. O'Connor made a ver imposing Sultan, his Bittging beiu exceptionally good. Mr Carter (Yuf suf, the storyteller) was in capital forn He has a good voice, and sang wit great effect. Mr H. Quealy (Gran Vizier), Mr T. Evans (Physician i chief), and Mr A. Stephens (Roys Executioner), gava a capital interpre tation of their parts. Miss C. JSutt< (Zubeydeh) quite brought down th house, htr acting and vocal number being perfect.
