| (fkom our own correspondent). The eleventh annua! gathering of th. Ingle wood Athletic Club was lield her. on tho 20th instant. The weather w<i* favourable in the mo r niog, but one or two light showers of rain fell duvin? the afternoon. The loglewood String Band was in attendance and played various selections of music during the d-ty, which were much appreciated by the public, though at times the music whs drowned by the hookies and other gentleman of the profession crying out the odds, etc. The takincs at the gates amounted to £54, which would h<m bann much larger if the weather had kept fire. The chief events wera won by the following:— 220 Yards Handicap, J. L'ydon ; Wordchopping, J. Pet'i'; the Underhand Chopping was won by the nam' twin; Si wing Cun petition, Volxk' Bros.; Marsh Memorial, T. S'epheni; 100 Yards Handicap, J. Leydon ; 440 Yards, J. Monk ; One Mile Handicap, T. Bavnfs; Th>>e Mile Bi-vcln cip, A. Brndli y ; n tood lace. Tho Two Mile Bicycle R see wwlt'd in a d«»d I he-it bet we 111 J, liils'u n ■ Kovoli-ki; 120 Y-iriis Hurdlis, I'. D.
