The attendance was extra large, being no doubt attracted by a shipment o- horses from Wanganni. Bidding was brisk, and almost everything of working c!a-s changed hands. Draughts sold from £26 17s 6d to £4l 10s; medium do, £lB 17s 6d to L 36 ss; light harness hers"s, L 8 15s to L2l 12s 6d; hacks, L 315 to L29s 10s. The trotting horse Billy Fit.z realised 28 gs, and I Oolenso 32 gs. Cattle.—At New market on Tuesday fat stock were penned in full numbers, the quality throughout being good. Bidding was brisk, up to last week's prices. Ox beef sold from 19s to 21s per lOOlbs; cow, 16s to 18s. Although entries were considerably below those of lust year, the supply proved beyond the demand, owing doubtless to the many large sales which have been made privately owing to late date at which fair is fixed, Shropshire <!o»ns wflrea drug, mostly selling at under 2 guineas.
