McNivec, atd driven by an employee was proceeding along the Haramu-road, when the horse ran into a trap d>iv«u by Mr Hawthorne, and containing a lady and «bild, »ho were i thrown out, and snmewbat badly hurt. The horse attach d to Hawthorne's trap, ♦ tart Jul by ihe collision, kicked himself clear and bolted, rum-iog into and smashing a nvp driven by Mr 0. McLeod, and continuing on tan into another trap driven by Mr H. T. Momman, and also containing Mr* Mow. man, senr., and a child. This trap w«s *l>o smashed, and its occupants thiown out, the child sustaining colcumsuu of tbebiaio.
