A TRAIN DERAILED.
PKB FBEBB ASSOCIATION. Christcbokch, March 10. When the wid-day train from Rangiora to day was approaching Papanui, a axle of a frozen meat van broke, with she result that two trucks of stock and fonr passenger carriages were derailed. TTkd lino for soms distenco was torn up. There was a considerable number of passengers, who were much shaken and frightened j but the prompt and judicious action of the driver and guard prevented the accident having any more 1 serious consequences. It is expected the line will lid restored to-morrow.
