At a. meeting cf r.lie e:o cutiua of the ■North oury -branch of the FarrjieiV Union, the fo!'owing motion was carried:—(l) That the present system of disposal of N T ew Zealand frozen mutton and Jamb in England by l a number of different consignees comj peting against < ie another is very prejudicial to the interests of producers; I (2) that some form of co-operative combination of thosa iuteresred in the frozen meat trade, whereby absolute control of the sale of the output of New Zealand sbal! beves'ed in onecompiny or Board is essential for the realisation of full value of our product, and (3) that all brandies of the Union throughout Now Zealand be invited to call meetings to cousider this questian as early as possible, so that ttie Wellington conference may bo enabled to take up the matter and approach the Government for enabling legislatioa if they think it advisable to do so»
