ORANGE BLOSSOMS.

A vert pretty wedding was solemnised yesterday afternoon at the residence of Mr P. R. Oarthew, Vivian-street, when Mr 0, B. Lever was uniti d in matrimony to Miss Laura Alice Cartbew, The Rev. W. R. Woolley officiated, and j the room w»s quite crowded -with relatives and friends of the bride and bridegroom. Tbe bi jde was attired in 4 craam fltwered silk gown, with the orthodox veil and orange-blossoms, and was attended by her aister, Miss EWiej Oarthew as bridesmaid. The bridegroom was supported by bis brother, Mr Ernest Lever, who actad as best man. Aftar the ceremony tbe numerous and costly wedding presents were duly inspected and admired. Among these were a handsome warble clock, presented to Mr Lever by the Star Football Club, and a set of carvers from the Taranaki Rifles. Also several cheques from various friends. The company numbering some 6C guests then adjourned to the Masonic Hall, where the wedding breakfast was spread in layish profusion. After ample justice had been done to the sumptuous repast, the Mayor (Mr E. Dockrill) ia felicitous terms, propoied r.he health of the bride and bridegroom, both of whom he had known from childhood, and greatly esteemed. This was diunk with enthusiasm, and briefly responded to by the bridegroom. After several' other toasts had been duly honoured, the young couple proceeded by the 4.30 train to Hawera, en route for Christchuioh, where they spend the honey meon.
