COLONIAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE NAVY.

Mr Arnold Foster, Secretary to the Admiralty, in the course of the Navy debate, eaid the colonial representatives at the coronation would be consulted on the proposal for the colonies to nnke fnme contribution to the navy. Sir H. Hicks-Beach said the Government were not approaching the colonies as beggars, but desired that proportionately to their resources they should share the burdens of the Empire. ■
