FEB PRESS ASSOCIATION. Auckland, February 26. Mr Humphrev Berkley addressed a public meeting hero in support of the Fijian petition to the King for the federation of Fiji uni New Zealand. A resolution was cirri*d that the citizens protest againtt Ihe treatment to which Fijiansare subjected,and further declare that it weuld be in the interests cf the people of Fiji and New Zealand if both countries were under the same representative system of Government.

Mr Humphrey Berkele,, of Fiji, left for the group by the Tavinui to-day, to collect further documentary evidence in connection with the treatment of Fijians, and will return about the 12th prox., leaving shortly afterwards for England, where he will make representation to the Colonial Secretary.
