Lane's previous Australian reord was Srain 38 l-sth rcor. R t Sydney on March 4th, 1901. Champion (Weilineton was the only other starter. 75 Yards Handicap (open) final heat. —Gailey (Queensland) 1, Hunter (Hawera) 2, Aitkea (Wangauui) 3. Time 55 l-sth sfc. 880 Yards Championship,—Cavill 1, Read 2. Time, llmin Bsec, Read being 7 seconds behind. Oavill's previous record was llmin 51 l-sth sec.
