THK WIST COAST BUTUE VESTING. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Wawgakot, EVbruaiy 20. The first meeing of the W»nganai and West Coast Rifle Association commenced this morning at the Putiki Bifle Bangs, the arrangement* being under the direction of Colonel Watt. There are 54 competitors, including most of the prominent shots on the coast, Besults Taranaki match, 500 at>d 600 yards, seven shots at each.—Corporal Win ■lade (Wanganul), XS—66; ColourSergeant Okey (Taranaki), X2 10s—--66 ; Sergeant Scott (War>gnnui), X 2— 66; Corporal Hulbert (Patea), XI 10s —65; A. C. Atkinson (Hawera), 64 ; f*>rey (Patea), 63; Purnell and DrumBond (Wnnganui), 62, each XI. Scone of 55 and under were counted out. THK TRBNTHAM MEETING. . ' CHRiBTCHURCfc, February 20. Forty-thiee entries have been received from tbe North Canterbury disrict for the Bifle Association meeting tTrentham.
