Mr. Mpjar Cunningham, caoniur for the Government Insurance Department, and a very old resident of the city, shot himself dead with a revolver in LinwooJ cemetery to-day. He had been depressed lately over business matters, which preyed on his mind. Everything in connection with hia business is in a satisfactory condition. At theinquest a verdict was returned of suicide while temporarily insane. Thames, February 20. Two ladn, sons of Mr Fogarty, publiean, died of acute dysentery, the result ef eating tinned meat and cucumber. - Wanganui, February 20. The body of an elderly man was found this morning in the river, clone to the cattlti wharf. There is no clue ■o far to his identity. The body had been in the water over nine days.
