Mr Reynolds, Australian manager of the Pacific Cable Compauyj has arrived ; and has discussed matters in connection with the cable with Mr Barton. A Savings Bank loan of £IOO,OOO at 3| per cent, has been floated. The .public took £32,000, and the Savings Bank Commissioners the balance. The loan averaged £99 10s 9d, Adelaide, February 19. Mr Homburg has resigned the leadership of the Opposition in the State Assembly, and Mr Darling has been eleoted. The steamer Agapanthus has been towed into port with a broken propeller after drifting for two days. Perth, February 19. The China shipped 50,000 sov< reigns for India and ,£97,000 worth of bullion for London. Keceived 20, 0.65 a.m. Sydney, February 19. The plague patient Mclntyre dead. The block bounded by Pitt, Mark" t, and Castlereagh-svreets, and tl.a Imperial Arcade, including Her Majesty's Theatre, is quarantined for cleaning purposes.
