Twenty-five of the preient ships will befitted with modern armaments. A committee is to be appointed to consider taeans for strengthening destroy ers, and the nival reserve, which isbelow strength. Naval volunteers are to be re-wtib liAed, and sailing ships for training are to be abandoned. There will be no manoeuvres in British waters, bat a combined movement on the part of the Mediterranean sndChannel cruiser squad rocs. future composition of the Australasian squadron will be discussed wfien the colonial delegates arrive in England fo- the coronation. The army estimates amount to £69,310,000, providing for 219,700 ordinary army and 200,000 on war service.
