It was decided to obtain a supply of drawing boards for the school. A memorandum was received from the Eduction Board, giving the names of 15 children recommended for free tuition at tbe High School, in addition to the four scholarships usually granted. The Governors exprewed satisfaction at tbe manner in which tbe offers of free tuition had been taken up by the obildren of the distriot. The step was one in the right direction, and would undoubtedly popularise the school. The committee appointed for the purpose presented a report on the matter of Hugheo' and NewiDg*d loases. The matter was held over.

Accounts were passed, and several minor mittera attended to. Mr Weston then moved that Ur MaoDiarmid be chairman for tbe current year, and spoke in high term* of praise of the good work done by that gentleman during the past twelve months.

Seconded by Mr Dockrill and carried unanimously. Mr DjoDiarmid briefly returned thanks, and the Board adjourned.
