, ME FUSS ASSOCIATIOV. Lohdov, January 24. The Church Association has applied for a mandamus to compel the Primate to hear in open Court the objections to Canon Gore's confirmation. Lord Chief Justice Alveistone is unable to interfere in the consecration, which tikes place to-morrow, January 25. Lord Alverstone has provisionally fixed the hearing against the mandamus for February 3rd. Churchmen are satisfied at the prospect of a legal decision. The Standard announce! that on the initiative of Canon Gore his consecration has been pestpontd.
