PHE PRBBB ASSOCIATION. Wellington, January 24. As previously, Wednesday has been fixe \ for observance as the weekly halfholiday in the city and suburban boroughs. 'At to-day's wool sale about 1400 bales were offered, the hulk being sold at an advacce of fully %A a pound for good bright crossbred, while inferior and dingy crossbred advanced |d to jd. The annual open handicap of the Wellington Gun Club was fired ti-day. Fifteen competitors killed sevan birds each and divided £ 135, and shot off for tbe balance of tbe stake. The last three left in the shoot-off were F. Rodwood (Blenheim), 0. Annandale, A. Champion (a New South Wales shot, well known as " Gorrick"), and H. J. Price (Ghristchurcb.) The first named missed one bird, which put him out, and the other two divided. Seven divided in the £1 sweepstake. Annandale only missed one bird out of forty-aiz oft the 32 yards mirk.
