SENSATIONAL ROBBERY.
HIGHWAYMEN SECURE A GOOD HAUL. FIB PBEBB ASSOCIATION. Received 24, 1.24 a.m. Adelaide, January 23. A sensational highway robbery occurred at Port Adelaide at "two o'clock this afternoon. Mr Qreenaway, general manager of the Block Fourteen Mining I Company's works, and Mr Winter, assistant manager, were driving from tbe bank to the works with a bag containing £1282 to pay wages. Just before they reached the works two mounted masked men rode up snd ordered them to bail up. Winter continued driving, and one of the horsemen drew a revolver and shot the horse. Greenaway and Winter were thrown out, the former being stunned and Winter injured in one leg. Tbe latter attempted to draw a revolver, but was covered, and compelled to put up his hinds. The robbers secured the monoy and galloped off. The police are pursuing them. Greenaway's injuries [ necessitated his removal to the hospital.
