THE HAWTREY COMEDY COMPANY.
That the Theatre Royal was well filled on Saturday night mast be taken as a flattering testimony to tbe excellence of Mr Hawtveys company, and to the high favour in which "A Message from Mars "is held. If anything, the play went better tLan on the opening night, although such a result hardly seemed possible. Oentainly the audience laoked nothing in the way of enthusiasm and expr< ssioas of delight. Handsome as were the dresses on Friday evening, there were some on Saturday that were marvels of splendour. Those who witnessed the performance on both nights were surprised at the greit fascinating influence the play h*d, and many present would haye been pleised to sue and hear it again and again.
TO-NIGHT will, unfortunately, be the last of the season, as owing to inability ti arrange for a delayed boat to Auckland, the company will ba unable to appsar on Tuesday as previously at ranged. The main piece for this evening it> " Tom, Dick, and Harry." This is one of those screamingly funny plays that in the hands of such a competent company, is ! sure to be a most finished and intensely diverting performance, and is sure to attract a very large audience.
