PUB PBESS ASSOCIATION.] j [ Auckland, January 19. By a fire at Whangarei, a house owned by Lipp-'g, and occupied by James Hill, was totally destroyed. It is supposed to have originated through the chimney catching fiie and communicating with the wood-work of the mantelpiece. The building was insured iu the New Zealand Company for £l5O. A large portion of the furniture, which was not insured, was stved.
