VOLUNTEER NEWS.
Owing to the non-arrival of the tents for the local encampment in the Recreation Grounds the men did not assemble last night. It is understood, however, that everything will bo ready for the encampment to-night. The corps will muster at 6 o'clock. It is not certain where the blame lies, whether with the Defence Department or the railway authoi ities, but the delay is annoying to volunteers.
