On Christmas Day quite a crowd, say and festive as befitted the occasioD, filled the Wesleyan Oburch to witness the marriage of Mies Elizabeth Westmorland Allenby, the eldest surviving daughter of Mr Henry Alien by, to Mr Alf. John Wadsworth, second son of Mr Wadsworth. Rev. John H. White conducted the ceremony, and Mr G. Herbert White, organist of the New Plymouth Whiteley Memorial Ohutob, preaided at the organ. "The voice that breathed o'er Eden " commenced, and a lively and appropriate match concluded the service. Mr E. T. Leedom was the groomsman and the Misses Minnie Allenby and Mary Jeans the bridesmaid?, the- brides father, Mr H. A'lenby, giving away the biide. The attire of the ladits was appropiiate and in tbe best possible Usta, while beautiful bouquets added to the effect, the group presenting a must pleasing appearance. Showers ol rice greeted their departure from Ohurch, and a large number of guea s sac down to the wedding bieakfast in a commodious marquee. With tbe distribution of the bride-cake, happy exp essions of goodwill were given by thosa presaut, and a little later tbe bride and btidegroom left for Auckland. A large number ofserviceablo artioles presented by many friends were proof of the esteem and kindliness in wbion the happy pair were held.
