OH . , . —; Banfubly, Gbvernor, WHEREAS by section one hundred ant forty-three of " The Public Work 1" Act, 1894" (hereinafter termed " the saic Act"), it ia provided that no toll shall bi payabla unless the scale of tolls is publicl , notified for fourteen days before becoming J 1: first p»yabJe: J1 And whereas by section one hundred anr five of the said Act it is, inter slia, enactei that all powers, rights, duties, and liabili,j ties thereby vested in and impnsrd upon a K oad Board in the case of a Government '' road shall be vested acd imposed upon the '- Governor; e And whereas by Order in Oouncil dated f the twenty-third day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-live, that portion of the road which extends across the * Mokau Ferry, with approaches thereto, was declared a Government road: „ And whereas by section one hundred and " forty-two of the said Act it is, inter alia, provided that the scale of tolls may from time to time be revoked or altered: And whereas 8 scale of tolls for the said ferry was fixed by Warrant signed by the f Governor on the thirty-first day of Jannary, 1 one thousand eight hundred and oinetv-five i and published in the New Zealand Gazette • Noi iO) page 236; of the seventh day of Februayy, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-fivej and it is desirable to revoke and : alter such coale: Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of flanfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers - and authority vested in me by the said Act, I do hereby revoke the scale of tolls hereinbefore mentioned; and in Hen thereof do - hereby authorise and fix toe charges named in the Schedule herein as the tolls to be levied on the Mokau Ferry in tbfe several cases and hetween the hours specified in the said Schedule. 1 SCHEDULE.
