WARRANT FIXING TOLLS TO BE CHARGED AT MOKAU FERRY. BanfurliT, Governor. WHEREAS by section one hundred and fnrt.y-three o£ " The Public Works Act, 1894" (hereinafter termed "thesaid Aot"), it is provided that no toll shall be payabla unleps the scale of tolls is publicly notified for fourteen days before becoming first payable: And whereas by section one hundred.arid five of the said Act it is, inter site, enacted that all powers, rights, duties, and liabilities thereby vested in and imposed upon a Hoad Board in the case of a Government road shall be vested and imposed upon the Governor; And whereas by Order in Council dated the twenty-third day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five, that portion of the road which extend? across the Mokau Ferry, with approaches thereto, was declared a Government road : And whereas by nection one hundred and forty-two of the said Act it is, inter alia, provided that tbe scale of tolls may from time to time be revoked or altered: And whereas a scale of tolls for the said ferry was fixed by Warrant signed by the Governor on the thirty-first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five ana published in tbe Mew Zealand Gazette No. 10, page 236, of the seventh day of I February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five; and it is desirable to revoke and' alter such scale: Mow, therefore, I, Cohter John Mark, Sari of "anfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby revoke the scale of tolls hereinbefore mentioned, and in lieu thereof do hereby authorise and fix the charges named in tbe Schedule hereto as tbe tolls to be levied on the Mokau Ferry in the several cases and hetween the hoars specified in the I said Schedule.
