BIX CANDIDATES IN THE FIELD. | FKB patss ABSOOTATTON. DtnreniN. December 12. The fol'owing candidates have bean nominated for the vacant C»v«rsb»m neat:— William Eirnshaw, H. D. Bedford, W, Tf. Warren, P. Halley, T. K. Sidey. J. J. Meik''. Mr P. Halley, tbf selected labour candidate, addressed n largely-attended meeting cf Caversham electors tonight, and was well received. He announced himself as a Government supporter, and would uphold the p-ecent system of free and secular oducation. A vote of thanks and confidence was carried by an overwhelming majority.
