ST. MARY'S ANNIVERSARY.
Special services were held at St. Ma y's Ohunh yesterday in connection wicb the anniversary. The pulpit was occupied morning and evening by Rav, H, Anson, M.A, of Hawera, whose s'irmons were listened to attantively by the large congregations pressnt. The reverend speaker dwelt on thß du'y of the Christian community to tneir church, and urged members to assist by all means in their power to promote its welfare spiritually, socially, and financially. Special anthems wore given at each service by the choir, and the offertories during the day were to be devoted toward extinguishing the balance of the parish debt, In connection with the annivsrsury I services at St. Marj's Church yesterday, a children's Floral Service was held in the aft moon. The s« vice was conducted by ihe ltev. F, G. Evans, who g»ve a short but very interfsting address. At the close of the sorvic , the flowers brought by th» teachers and children were reverently placed on the graves of the Revs. B >llard and Brown, former clergy men of the parit-b.
